Support

Our efforts are driven by a fundamental goal: to foster and provide access to local and culturally relevant community-based re-entry, housing, and employment opportunities for those in need. We are committed to the principle that access to the appropriate resources empowers individuals to harness their capabilities and leverage their personal experiences to achieve their full potential.

"Dedication & Commitment to Service"

Education

We are dedicated to enhancing and adopting community-focused approaches that deliver extensive community education. Our "Medi-Cal Peer Support Initial Training Course" and "Peer Support Continuing Education (CE) Course" aim to empower you to discover and express your voice. This empowerment enables you to assist others by drawing on your own experiences.

Mental Health Therapy Services

Psychotherapy, commonly referred to as talk therapy, is an effective form of mental health treatment. The goal is to uncover and modify distressing thoughts. Our practice is led by a licensed mental health professional, a Board Certified Psychotherapist (LCSW-BCD.  Our practice offers various therapeutic approaches, ensuring we cater to diverse needs and preferences. Clinical therapy can also be paired with professional Peer Support, provided by Certified Peer Support Specialists, to ensure continuity of services and a peer-based component. Additionally, we also provide therapy across the following psychodynamic scopes:

  • Psychoanalysis and psychodynamic therapies: These therapies delve deep into understanding unconscious patterns and past experiences to address present behaviors and emotions.

  • Behavior therapy: This therapy focuses on modifying harmful behaviors and developing coping strategies.

  • Cognitive therapy: This approach aims at identifying and changing distorted or unhelpful thought patterns that influence emotions and behaviors.

  • Humanistic therapy: Centered on self-exploration, this therapy emphasizes personal growth and self-awareness as paths to healing.

  • Integrative or holistic therapy: This therapy combines elements from various approaches to provide a tailored treatment that addresses the person as a whole.

By offering a comprehensive range of therapies, we aim to support individuals in navigating their mental health journeys effectively.

Disabilities Services & Memory Care

Having an occasional lapse in memory is a common part of the aging process. However, when those memory lapses interfere with daily living, it’s crucial to consult a doctor. Learning that an aging parent or loved one is facing Dementia can be overwhelming, but it is not something you have to go through alone. Even though cognitive conditions can progress over time, it's entirely possible to make every day meaningful and fulfilling.

In addition to our support for cognitive health, we are deeply committed to providing compassionate, specialized care for individuals with Down syndrome. Recognizing the unique needs and potential of those with Down syndrome, we focus on nurturing with love, care, and dedicated attention.

Short-Term Respite Care

Respite or short-term care is a great option for seniors with short-term and temporary needs for assistance and care. Families and seniors who are unsure if they are ready to take the step forward in Independent Living, Assisted Living or Memory Care, can use Respite Care as a glimpse into what living at the WWY Micro-community Village will be like without the long-term commitment.

Veteran Care Warrior Peer Support Program

As a veteran service member, your longing for public service to others and our great nation never ended. Our Veteran Care Warrior Peer Support Program (VCWP)  helps you to head that calling and continue your service through care to others. This educational job assistance program is a combination of social work, job mentorship, and employment through assistance and care provision. Veterans are taught valuable skills and are paid reasonable wages, as they learn to care for seniors in need of assisted living or respite care.
